On 10/30/07, Family and friends joined members of Girl Scout
Troop #1916 to re-dedicate and introduce themselves to Girl Scouts. At this
ceremony, Terry, Joyce & Adam Crowder were made "Honorary Members" of Girl Scout
Troop #1916. A plague was given to them recognizing them for their dedication
and support of our Troops. Also attending were Steve and Amy Miller of USMC
Families. The girls also celebrated Joyce's birthday. Thanks for the support of
USMC Families to our Girl Scouts. The girls enjoy participating in many
activities that support our Troops and look forward to many more in the future.

Morale boosters in the mail
Joyce Crowder of Fishers said she would have been in tears Thursday had she not gotten a call from her son earlier that morning. Her son, Lance Cpl. Brad Scriff, 19, deployed with his Marine unit to Iraq last Tuesday.
“He’s there safe and sound, and I got to talk to him, and he said ‘mom it’s about 122 degrees here, and I’m looking at nothing but dirt,’” Crowder said.
